Grammar
“Gì” is used to ask about a certain object or animal. In terms of meaning, the word “gì” is the same as the word “what” in English, but is the usage of the two words the same?
Example
Bạn tên là gì? => Tôi tên là Thu.
Cô tên là gì? => Tôi tên là Jane.
Anh làm nghề gì? => Tôi là nhân viên ngân hàng.
Bà làm nghề gì? => Tôi là giáo viên tiếng Việt.
Đây là cái gì? => Đây là cái bút.
Cái này là cái gì? => Cái này là cái đồng hồ.
Anh ăn gì? => Anh ăn phở bò.
Ông Nam mua gì? => Ông Nam mua cà phê.
Em thích ăn gì? => Em thích ăn hải sản.
Chị đang làm gì? => Chị đang học tiếng Việt.
