1. ASKING ABOUT TIME IN VIETNAMESE

– “Mấy giờ rồi?” or “bây giờ là mấy giờ?” are questions of time (the latter is a little bit more formal), 

For example: 

– Mấy giờ rồi? (What time is it?)

– 2 giờ rồi.(Two o’clock already.)

– Bây giờ là mấy giờ rồi?(What time is it now?)

– Bây giờ là 2 giờ. (Now it is two o’clock.)

ONE WEEK HAS 7 DAYS:

Question: “Thứ mấy?” is used to ask for the day of week, for example:

• Hôm nay là thứ mấy? (What day is today?)
• Hôm nay là thứ hai. (Today is Monday)
• Ngày mai là thứ mấy? (What day is tomorrow?)
• Ngày mai là chủ nhật (Tomorrow is Sunday)
