Prepositions of location in Vietnamese

Vietnamese prepositions link nouns, pronouns and phrases to other words in a sentence. The word or phrase that the preposition introduces is called the object of the preposition. Vietnamese prepositions have two main kinds: prepositions of time and location. Today we will learn prepositions of location first. Let’s start!

Prepositions of location are words that are used to describe the place where a certain object is at a certain time. Beside prepositions of place are prepositions that provide information about the location of an object or event. Prepositions of place must be combined directly with a noun of place.

3. Trong phòng đang có người, chị đợi một lúc nhé.
4. Anh có thấy đôi giày của em ở đâu không? Ở ngoài sân kia kìa.

6. Mẹ để đồ chơi của con ở sau tủ nhé.
7. Nhà tôi ở giữa nhà Nam và nhà Mai.
