“Thế, “vậy” is used when the speaker does not want to repeat something that has been Ph referred to previously.
For example:
- “Thế”: the word used to refer to what is known or considered to be known (because it has just been said), or is the reality that is in front of you.
– Chị ấy nói là ngày mai chị ấy sẽ không đến. (She said that she would not come)
– Chị ấy nói như thế à? (Did she say so?)
-Vâng, chị ấy nói như thế. (Yes, she did.)
– Tôi rất thích nhạc cổ điển. (I like the classical music very much.)
– Thế à? Tôi cũng thế.(Really? So do I.)
- “Vậy”: the word used to indicate what has just been said is the starting point for what is about to be said.
– Tôi không thích uống cà phê lắm.(I don’t like coffee very much.)
– Tôi cũng vậy. (Neither do I.)
