3. HOW TO LEARN CAMBRIDGE IELTS?

* LISTENING

One of the biggest difficulties when taking the IELTS test is that you only hear it once. If you miss a part of the lesson, you won’t get a second chance to do it again.

However, when we practice listening at home, you can completely break up the listening lesson and listen to it over and over again. Every time you listen, you will definitely learn something new and your listening skills will improve a lot compared to if you just listened to the audio once.

Tips for performing the listening lesson:

  • Listen to the same audio over and over, with each listening focus on different elements. For example, with the first listening, focus on listening and understand the meaning of the whole song or grasp the main idea of the lesson.
  • On the second listening, you can concentrate on listening to the verbs of the lesson, see how they are conjugated.
  • Next try listening to the speaker’s pronunciation, stress, or intonation, and finally try listening to words like articles or prepositions….

Your listening skill will gradually improve after listening over and over again with this method of deep listening.

* READING

If you have completed the Reading articles of the series, do not hesitate to do them again.

  • First, take the test within 60 minutes to see how many points you get.
  • Next, do the test again, but this time don’t limit the time you just do the test according to your ability.
  • Only do one passage within 20 minutes.
  • Try focusing on only one type of question, for example: true, false, not given.
  • Take the test and use a parallel dictionary to see if you can raise your score.
  • Or you can try reading an article to see if you understand. Do not answer questions.
  • Alternately, you can preview your answers and try again in the reading passage to see where they appear.
  • Finally, make a list of vocabulary and “keywords” in the lesson

* WRITING

When practicing writing, instead of you doing 4 different Writing questions, try writing 1 topic but writing it 4 different times.

Each time you write, try to enhance and develop an aspect of the article.

For example:

– At the first time of writing, you can try to focus on the grammar of the article, try to use variety and use complex structures in the article.

– For the second writing, you can develop more ideas for the article, especially the explanation and use of evidence.

– In the next times, why don’t we explore more and upgrade the vocabulary of the lesson?

When applying this way, your writing skills will definitely improve surprisingly!

* SPEAKING

For Speaking topics in Cambridge, you should:

  • List of different questions
  • Practice them every day, remember everyday.
  • Record your talk so we can listen to it again and check for any mistakes and take notes for future improvement. The goal is that you can “master” this list of questions before the exam.

All of the above methods follow the method of repetition, which is certain that when you first start you will feel bored and very bored. However, there’s no shortcut to success!
