III, COURSE’S PURPOSE

Intermediate Vietnamese 2 course is for students who have completed Elementary Vietnamese 1 course. After completing the course, students will achieve:

• Students will communicate fluently in everyday life conversations, using grammar and vocabulary in academic and professional Vietnamese.

• Students will understand and discuss social and professional issues; express attitudes and feelings correctly about the situation.

• Gain a certain understanding of scientific-academic issues (short news, short films, interviews,…).

• Have vocabulary and grammar to prepare for the intermediate proficiency test (level B)

IV, TEACHER

+ Teacher: at least 2 years of experience in teaching Vietnamese.

+ Teaching assistant: reviewing lessons for students, correcting pronunciation and helping students make complete sentences

V, EXAMINATION

Upon completing Intermediate Vietnamese 2 course, students will be equipped with the necessary skills to take the Vietnamese proficiency assessment at the intermediate level.

1. VINATEST – the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Test organized by Hanoi University

2. NLTV – the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Test organized by University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

3. VIETEST – Vietnamese language proficiency assessment system for foreigners organized by University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Instrutors:

Ms. Minh Hang graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Korean from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. After 2 years of studying in Korea, in 2019 she graduated from Busan University of Foreign Studies, majoring in Korean language and culture. In 2018, she participated in the “Tandem” program, which teaches Vietnamese to Koreans hosted by the Department of Vietnamese Language and Culture – Busan National University of Foreign Studies for four months. In 2019, she volunteered to teach Korean to Vietnamese brides in Korea for three months.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In the same year, she graduated from the VNU University of Languages and International Studies – Faculty of Korean Language & Culture. In 2020, become “Ambassador of reading culture” – a contest organized by the University of Languages and International Studies and complete the course “Skills to express yourself” organized by Google and sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
